PICTURES OF THE HEALING HEARTS QUILT

The Healing Hearts Quilt Project was created as
a means of allowing United Methodists the opportunity to
express their feelings of loss and hope, and to also
serve as an outlet for showing patriotism regarding the
ongoing events in our world since September 11, 2001.
Letters were sent to Missions Chairpersons in every
church in the conference.
The results were fantastic! What you see here is a
"work in progress". We were overwhelmed with
the task of completing the quilts before Conference. As
you can see, many churches contributed to the project.
There are still some smaller contributions that have not
yet been added to the quilt. The pieces will become part
of a single panel as it is completed.
We want to express our deepest gratitude to our division
of the General Board of Church and Society
for their overwhelming support of this project. They were
integral in getting this project from the beginning
stages to what you see before you today.
